Energy Trust Windows Incentives
— $2.25 per square foot of windows installed U-Value 0.26 – 0.30
—$3.50 per square foot of windows installed U-Value 0.25 or less

Oregon customers heating their homes with electricity or natural gas from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas can participate.
Washington customers heating their homes with natural gas from NW Natural can receive our incentives.
Oregon homes that heat with oil, propane, kerosene, butane or wood can conduct their own energy audit and apply for cash rebates for installed weatherization upgrades through the Oregon Department of Energy’s SHOW (State Home Oil Weatherization) program.
Energy Trust does not pay incentives for energy-efficient improvements that are mandated for building code compliance, such as remodeling, renovation or new additions to the home.
Follow these easy steps to get cash for installing new windows in your home:
1: Establish your eligibility.
2: Select a contractor to install your windows.
To receive an Energy Trust cash incentive, contact a quality, energy-efficiency trained Energy Trust trade ally contractor or any contractor with a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) license.
3: Submit your application forms within 90 days of installation. Mail, NEW Online Form or fax your signed and completed incentive application form along with your contractor’s invoice(s)—marked “paid in full.” Documentation of U-Value and size for each window must also be submitted. Proof of U-Value must be submitted as a packing slip or invoice from the manufacturer, or NFRC sticker. Proof of window size must be submitted as a packing slip or invoice from the manufacturer, distributor, retailer or contractor. Your contractor may submit a Windows Addendum as documentation of window size if a packing slip or invoice is unavailable. All required documentation should be submitted to:

Energy Trust Door Incentives
Up to $500 Back on Your Tax Return
In January 2013, Congress passed the American Taxpayer Relief Act which reinstates and extends the Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit (Code Sec. 25C) through December 31, 2013. Homeowners are now eligible for a one time federal energy tax credit up to 10% of the cost of the product up to $500 for doors. Please visit http://www.energystar.gov/taxcredit for more information.
How do I qualify for the tax credit?
- Purchase and install an ENERGY STAR® qualified product from 01/01/2011 through 12/31/2013.
- The product must be installed in taxpayer’s principal residence (installation costs are not eligible).
- For your own record keeping, save your sales receipt (showing the individual price of each qualifying product) and the manufacturer certification statement.
- Claim your tax credit for the year the home improvement was made.
